249Startups – Junior Finance and Accounting Officer

249Startups is looking for a Junior Finance and Accounting Officer to support its daily accounting and financial operations in Kassala or Khartoum.

The role includes bookkeeping, recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing reconciliations, maintaining supporting documents, monitoring budgets and assisting with monthly and annual closing processes. The officer will also record transactions and financial classifications in Odoo or a similar ERP system.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• One to three years of relevant finance or accounting experience
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, accounting and reconciliations
• Good Microsoft Excel and ERP skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English

Experience with Odoo, audits, donor-funded projects, startups or NGOs is considered an advantage.
